The mat has a slip resistant surface that actually improves with use without becoming sticky or slippy even with light perspiration. The underside of the mat features Manduka’s proprietary dot pattern which stops the mat from sliding or bunching during your yoga practice.

PROlite LONG mats are made with a unique closed cell construction.  This means that bacteria and moisture cannot penetrate the surface of your mat thus increasing durability and cleanliness.

PROlite Yoga Mat Care

Storage: Roll your yoga mat with the top side facing outwards (place your mat upside-down on the floor – dotted side up – to roll). This makes sure that the ends of the mat do not bend upwards when you are using the mat.

Breaking in your PROlite mat: The best way to "break in" your mat is to use it often! The surface texture of the mat actually improves with use (something you will really appreciate if you are used to lower quality mats). If you want to break in your mat in a hurry you can sprinkle it with sea salt and rub it down with a sponge before leaving it out in the sun to air-dry.

To Clean your Manduka PROlite mat we recommend using any non-solvent household cleaner and a damp cloth or sponge. Hang to dry in the sunshine. DO NOT put your mat in the washing machine- it may break the machine and ruin your mat! It would also invalidate your guarantee!
