Mandy Murphy: Teacher profiles

Mandy teaches creative vinyasa flow yoga which is ashtanga inspired. Mandy has been practicing yoga for 10 years, first to learn how to cope with the stress of a busy degree and then progressing over the years until it became a way of life. Mandy found that the benefits were not only visible in the body but also in the mind.

Mandy completed her 200hr vinyasa flow teacher training and has attended workshops with international yoga teachers such as, James Higgins, Bruce Chung and Guy Donaghe to deepen her own personal practice and as an inspiration for new creative flows to bring to her students.

Mandy is also a qualified mindfulness coach, sports massage and holistic massage therapist, as much as possible she likes to use all her knowledge for students safety, adjusting to ensure correct alignment and encouraging her students to let go and enjoy the moment.

Mandy’s Vinyasa yoga classes are fun filled and creative, her mindful yoga classes are slow gentle practices ideal for beginners or people returning to the practice an injury or simply for those tired days, with a focus on staying present and meditation in the movement.

In teaching yoga Mandy aims to help you understand the practice,  and encourages you to let go of the ‘monkey mind’ and live in the moment and accept where you are in your practice each day.

Mandy says, “Yoga is for every age, shape, size, fitness and strength level, there is a practice for everyone, all you need is an open heart and an open mind. The benefits you will see will astound you”
