Shiatsu is a holistic therapy originating from Japan and influenced by Chinese and Western knowledge. It is based on similar principles to acupuncture, but the practitioner uses their hands instead of needles. Shiatsu acts to re-balance the body’s energy to promote well being, support good health and prevent illness.
Why receive a shiatsu?
Shiatsu can be used to prevent and relieve many conditions. These are some of the common reasons why people receive shiatsu:

But you don’t have to be ill to benefit from shiatsu, many people choose it because they enjoy it and to help them to stay well. Shiatsu is as relaxing as a massage and can be enjoyed by everyone.
