We welcome all new students

New to yoga

If you are new to yoga or haven’t attended a class for a while we would recommend you join a beginners class for a couple of months until you are comfortable with the yoga practice and feel ready to advance. If your unsure which class suits you then please contact us and we will be happy to advise you.

We have classes that are suitable for all levels, if the beginners class doesn’t suit your schedule please come along to one of our mixed classes. Yoga can always be modified for the student so there is always beginners and advanced options, just let the teacher know and they will look after you.

 Yoga styles at our studio

Ashtanga yoga

Ashtanga yoga is a beautiful fluid spiritual practice that is taught in a set sequence. Postures are linked together with the breath and are synchronised in a series of movements. As you learn, you will naturally go deeper into the series and your practice becomes a moving meditation. An empowering practice that once taught you have for life.

Yin yoga

Yin yoga is all about slowing down, connecting with your breath and stretching for long periods of time, allowing participant to release tension and move deeply into poses. Yin yoga is a passive form of yoga (rather than dynamic or yang), it challenges you to find peace in what may be a slightly uncomfortable position for 3 to 5 minutes,

Flow and restore

Flow and restore is a gentle flowing practice blended with restorative yoga, often referred to as ‘active relaxation’. Restorative yoga is a gentle style of Hatha yoga, it facilitates deep relaxation in students as they awaken to the stillness within, tapping into deep relaxation and healing. This will restore, renew and balance the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual body. This class combines mindful awareness, meditations and gentle yin postures.
